My painting 'Beached at Aldeburgh' was recently purchased by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra as a gift for their Principal Conductor Yutaka Sado. It was presented to him at the conclusion of the orchestra's tour of Japan in 2011. The choice of painting was influenced by the subject location...Aldeburgh has close connections with Snape Maltings in Suffolk, which, in turn, has links with the orchestra which has performed there on many occasions. I was proud and honoured to have my painting chosen out of the thousands of other depictions of Aldeburgh and this particular boat that are out there.
